NH Boy Alleges Disney Tigger Punched Him In Face

BOSTON (CBS4) ― A New Hampshire family says their Florida vacation was ruined by a popular Disney character.

The Monaco family says during their visit to Walt Disney World the Tigger character punched their son in the face.

Now they are questioning the way the incident is being handled by park officials. The elder Jerry Monaco wanted to capture the moment.

"At first I thought he was kidding and all and playing around then he actually grabbed my arm between his arm I knew he wasn't kidding," said the younger Jerry Monaco.

"Disney is supposed to be safe place, a place where you are suppose to spend time with your family," the father said.

The son said the Tigger character punched him in the face.

An investigation as to who did what is underway. The park wasted no time contacting Jerry.

A man identifying himself as Jean Erik Redrupp calls by phone.

"I just wanted to follow up with you and let you know that we have spoken to the cast member in question and um have and reacted very strongly toward him," Redrupp said.

Jerry, the father said: "The general manager apologized to me everyone came up to apologize but Tigger he won't be a man about it get out of the costume and apologize to my son."
