Mapping Sex Offenders Before Kids Trick or Treat

(CBS4) Before your kids head out to Trick or Treat, you may want to make sure you're aware of sex offenders in your neighborhood.

A web site run by a Utah company actually pinpoints Level 3 Sex Offenders on a map. You can enter your own address and see on a map where the most dangerous offenders live, in the event you want your children to avoid those locations on Halloween. Another click will give you a picture of the offender.

Mapsexoffenders.com takes the information provided by state's sex offender registries and ties it into mapping software for easy viewing. The site provides this service, at no charge year-round, not just at Halloween. Right now, 38 states including Massachusetts are part of their database.
